Strength / Stretching (CrossFit) 1:00:00 [3] 0.4 km (2:30:00 / km)
slept:8.0 weight:127lbs shoes: Adidas Supernova Sequence 2

  • 400m jog, stretching, and 15 sit-ups to warm up.

  • Three rounds, 30 seconds of each: super-slow deadlift / front plank / back-plank / supermans / hollows.

  • Deadlift warm-up: 35# x 10 / 65# x 8 / 85# x 5 / 115# x 3

  • For time: 21-15-9 reps of 155# deadlifts and handstand push-ups. I used 115# for the deadlifts, and lowered head to the height of two abmats on the handtsand push-ups. The penalty for modifiying the handstand push-ups was to do 45 regular push-ups (which I also modified). :-P Time was 15:45.

Run / Hike (CrossFit) 23:20 [3] 2.22 mi (10:31 / mi)
slept:6.0 shoes: Adidas Supernova Sequence 2

I was the only one to show up for the 7:00 pm class, so I did a workout on my own: run one mile / row 2,000m / run one mile. Unfortunately, I misunderstood the instructions and only did a 200m row... The wind was ridiculous on the runs, and I didn't have a precise route mapped out either time.

- First mile was actually 1.13 miles, 12:10 (10:47 avg pace)
- 200m row: ~1:00
- Second mile was actually 1.09 miles, 10:10 (9:19 avg pace)

Orienteering race (Red course) 2:47:23 [3] ***** 7.01 mi (23:53 / mi) +994ft 21:03 / mi
slept:7.0

Back at The Big Sandy for a daytime Red course...

Started off OK, with errors at #3 and #5. Then I did OK for a while (except for running past my intended trail to get to #8), until a near-total meltdown for #14 through #17. I couldn't even pick the right reentrant to run down to get to the GO control (#17). I think I was mentally / physically tired as well as distracted / stressed out about controls being picked up while I was still on the course (I was out past the cut-off time, since I helped with starts).

At least I finished, I guess...and I was not dead-last (I was second-to last). ;-)
