  • 10-minute jog to warm up.

  • Choice of 8 to 10 reps of (jog up the hill as far as possible in one minute / jog back down to recover in two minutes)

    I pushed on the first 5, faded on 6 & 7, tried hard again on 8, and then took it easy on 9 & 10 since those were optional.

    I'm f-i-n-a-l-l-y getting back on track!

  • Jog one mile to warm up.

  • Three-mile tempo run. Splits were 9:04, 10:03, 9:30. Not great, but not as awful as I expected after missing the workouts for almost a month.

  • (I skipped the second two-mile tempo lap...I'm not really feeling in shape enough yet for that many miles, after taking off for a few weeks.)

  • Jog one mile to cool down.

  • Strength / Stretching warm up/down 5:00 [3]
