Orienteering race 2:02:23 [3] *** 5.14 mi (23:49 / mi) +656ft 21:15 / mi
slept:6.0 weight:124lbs

Motala-style individual relay at First With the Mostest (Laramie). I was close to making a big error on the fifth loop, but luckily b0be happened to cruise by and led me into the control. Otherwise, I just made a few small mistakes.

Orienteering 1:22:04 [3] *** 2.12 mi (38:43 / mi) +328ft 33:46 / mi

Troy and I ventured out onto part of the Happy Jack training course. It seemed very hot and buggy...but good training.

Strength / Stretching tempo (Yard Work) 1:00:00 [1]
slept:8.0 weight:124lbs

I wouldn't normally log the work I do in my micro-garden. But, I did lots of digging though concrete-like topsoil, and the wierd stances I have to get in to avoid stepping on other plants makes it a bit like a yoga session... And it was strenuous enough that I seemed to have pulled something in my thigh!

Rock Climbing tempo 2:00:00 [1]
slept:6.0 weight:124lbs

Today was the final day of our two-weekends of canyoneering classes. Next time we go canyoneering, we'll be on our own -- without a guide / instructor. Hopefully, that'll be sometime this fall in Utah. Photos.

For the class -- we went back to the waterfall today, after practicing a tyrolean traverse, hand lines, pack tosses, hook usage, and rappelling down a narrow chimney (to simulate a slot canyon). It was nice to get in the water, since it was nearly 100 degrees in Boulder today.
