Cycling tempo 1:19:19 [3] 13.24 mi (5:59 / mi)
slept:8.0 weight:123lbs

Bike to work. I experimented with the "tunnel to nowhere" in order to avoid crossing the Northwest Parkway. The tunnel was filled with thick, slippery mud and about 500 birds who weren't very happy to be disturbed. I'm also pretty sure I saw two buzzards or vultures as I passed through the STK property...(they had very big bodies and small red heads -- in an area with lots of rabbits and prairie dogs to eat).

And back home again at the end of the day.

Soccer intervals (outdoor) 1:00:00 [3]

Lunchtime soccer. I scored one goal, but I missed several others and otherwise generally played like crap (rusty).

Soccer intervals (indoor) 25:00 [3]

Ho-hum.

slept:4.0 weight:123lbs (rest day)

Rainy ---> resty.

I had planned to bike to work today despite the bad weather forecast, but I tossed and turned 'til 3am last night / this morning...so I wasn't particularly motivated to get up early.

Orienteering race (Red course) 1:57:28 [3] 4.91 mi (23:55 / mi) +1463ft 18:39 / mi
slept:6.0 weight:123lbs

Just in time for today's meet at White Ranch, my cold has finally cleared up -- although I still have some lingering throat goblins...

I made one small error, one medium error, and one ridiculous error (it was near the end, it should have been super-easy, but I wasn't concentrating). I walked 90% of the course -- White Ranch is really steep, and I've been sick (that's my excuse this week, anyway).

I spotted one deer, two Abert squirrels (with their cute tufty ears), one swampfox, and one nearly recovered / impressively mobile pelvis-fracturee.
