Mountain biking at the new-ish Picture Rock trail in Lyons. Weather was perfect -- low 70s, mostly sunny, with occasional short bursts of light rain.

The entire trail was narrow singletrack. On the way up, the first half was nice, but the second half was VERY rocky and a bit above my technical ability level, especially after not biking much at all lately. I had to get off and walk a fair bit, both on the way up and on the way down. I was even more tentative than usual because I was a little paranoid about injuring myself now that I've already paid for NAOC airfare, entry, and lodging...(and also because I was there alone).

Maybe I could ride most of it after four or five visits.

I heard about a local scavenger hunt last night at about 11pm -- so I decided to go. The map was good and the navigation wasn't hard at all, but "stupid human tricks" were required at each checkpoint. It was fun. Hopefully I can arrange for RMOC to host a checkpoint station at next year's event.

Morning(!) jog at Davidson Mesa. Was happy to get below a 12:00 pace towards the end. Am realizing that it takes me almost two full miles before my calves loosen up and I feel comfortable. Splits were 13:31, 12:43, 10:43.

Cherry Creek State Park is really open, so it's hard to set a technical course here -- although I have managed to get lost there in the past. I was pretty accurate (for me), but moving slowly.

- Warm-up: rowing, weighted sit-ups, dynamic stretching.

- Warm-up specific to SDHP and pull-ups.

- For time -- three rounds: chest to bar pull-ups x 15 / burpees x 20 / sumo deadlift high pull 95/65# x 15. I cut the reps to 10 / 15 / 10, did regular (kipping) pull-ups, and used 45# for the SDHP. I was seriously sucking wind the whole time. 13:something.

Disaster with the magnetic clip on my hydration pack's chest strap. Did OK after figuring it out, but lost a lot of time in the process.
