Still sick, but I was able to get about & about.

- Ordered new running shoes at Runners Roost with my LoCO discount, and then bought some fancy treats as a dog / housewarming gift at the pet store next door.

- Had a lunch salad and watched my former flute teacher perform (with piano accompaniment) at Moxie.

- Neighborhood walk (with Serial 2-06).

- Went to a college friend's housewarming party with awesome red beans & rice, biscuits, and beer. (And a nice new dog.)

Still sick. Slept for ~10 hours and gained another pound. I'm missing today's Woodland Park O-training AND the LoCO FIT spring season kick-off. Very annoyed.

1-2-3-4 went OK. Then I did something really dumb on my way to #5 (I think I had my map folded too small, but I still should've known I hadn't gone far enough to be on the correct trail at the base of the correct hill). Ugh.

The stupidity magnified itself on my way to #6. I struggled up a steep hillside with lots of prickly underbrush -- instead of just continuing to follow the trail. Obvious brain lapse.

Could have taken a more efficient route to get to the trail on my way to #9.

I got distracted by trying to outrun other people on the way to #11 and promptly lost contact with the map.

Sigh...

Long Red course at Catalina State Park. I had planned to mostly walk, and I took time to snap some photos here and there -- so my overall time was pretty slow.

I got a little bit lost looking for #8, and took the opportunity to get this photo:

Night-O course.

Due to mental doubts, I decided to skip #6 -- "it's too steep, it's too rocky, I probably won't make it back before the course closure time, what if I get hurt (I'm at the back of the pack and no one will find me)", etc.

I made it back with about 15 minutes to spare, and I found 7-13 without any issues. Oh well...
