Rīgas Kausi day2

A decent start, first 5 controls went well, then got sloppy until 10, the rest was fine. 2 minutes in mistakes total - that is how much I lost to the winner. However, as a surprise came 3rd which is the first top3 on a national race since started to train (15 months ago). Happy as F!

Both days combined came 6th out of 35 which is higher than expected (aimed for top10 @ M-35)

Physically felt better than yesterday and had a faster pace even though did not have any decent company.

So good they had a warm-up area map. Got lost there immediately so knew what to expect on the race.

Rīgas Kausi day 1

Could be a top5 run if not a fatal error on 5 (3min). Altogether 4:25 on first 9 controls, after that found my rythm.
Got some extra speed when Maris catched up (4min) at 13.

Physically not the best condition, developed some cold symptoms after tuesday's run, so saved myself for this one, but still not fresh.

Looking forward to step up a few spots tomorrow :)

An easy hour with Duksis. HR kept steady until hit the terrain few times. Got some mud on shoes making them heavy as f.
