Kaapsehoop marathon
After being sick for most of August and a dodgy foot in the 3 weeks before the race I had fairly low expectations. Was mentally prepared for some major suffering but luckily things didn't get too bad. My foot had it's usually grumpiness while it warmed up but after that is was almost 100%. Was lekker and chill with mist to start and didn't get hectically hot at the bottom. Legs started feeling it around 34. Started run-walking quite a bit from 36. With our goal time in the bag we didn't kill ourselves into the finish. Felt decent afterwards. Was awesome to have Dyllan to run with the whole way and the rehydrate from Alex and Steph on route gave us nice boost. Quads were shot on Sun and Mon. #waddling
