Mountain Marathon - Rocky Valley
Really enjoyed it and pushed hard. It always one of my favourite events of the year :-)
2 mistakes - wasn't expecting #10 to be right on the path so stopped a bit early. And then messed up #16 (3mins) was too high and just couldn't make sense of the cliffs. Otherwise nice and accurate which was a relief - I've been in a bad place with my CC O'.
Physically, I felt really good for the first half, started to struggle up the hill to #14. Ankle was not feeling good which slowed me down on some of the rocky downhills.
Was 6 minutes behind Michele. Pretty happy with that!

Pretty cool how my Garmin said 510m of climb - exactly what was advertised!

Bushveld event - Kloofendal
After staying up late doing an essay I just wasn't feeling it, so kept it chilled. Also felt like I hadn't been orienteering in ages so needed to get my confidence up especially in the circle.
Lost time to #2 and #4 in the circle - got stuck in some horrible green to #4. Overshot #8 a bit and had a chat to Bennett before heading to #9. The rest went well. Really needed some water by the end though.
Tweaked my ankle early on, not bad but could feel it on the rocky downhills.
