Running 30:12 [3] 4.7 km (6:26 / km)
ahr:167 max:183 shoes: Adidas Response

Nice afternoon run with Mike. Ran to Jeppe Boys and back. Not exactly a flat route.

Had fun at the GOC lunch. The Popes did well. Got the family trophy:-) and our fair share of wally awards.

Running 20:00 [3]
slept:8.0 shoes: Adidas Response

School cross-country training. Warmed up and stretched then did the 800m loop 3x. Ash and Kathleen were running well. Not the best turn out today: exams are approaching...way too quickly!

Running warm up/down 20:00 [2] 2.8 km (7:09 / km)
shoes: Adidas Response

Managed to get to Wits for training. Did quite a few laps to warm up and had a decent warm down. Good to see the track is still there, although the pile of rubble is growing and some of the grass is missing.

Orienteering 21:40 [4] 3.5 km (6:11 / km)
shoes: Adidas Response

Map memory intervals around campus. Uneven numbers meant I was with Garry and Alex so there was no hanging about. Luckily my legs feel a lot better.

Running 15:00 [2]

We actually did P.E at school for the first time this year. We ran around then did stairs. Not too hectic. Even my seriously sore legs could handle it although there was lots of moaning going on around me.

Swimming 5:00 [3] 0.15 km (33:20 / km)

After running we had to do 6 lengths of the pool. Swimming's not really my thing but I survived.

Running warm up/down 10:00 [1]
shoes: New Balance 472

Warmed up with Steph and even had a warm down in the hope that it would help my sore legs recover

Orienteering race (GOC relay) 25:41 [5] *** 3.6 km (7:08 / km)
spiked:12/13c shoes: New Balance 472

Gauteng Relays at Saint Stithians. I ran 1st leg for ROC and had a good run. Made a small mistake in the buildings to the 2nd last control but other than that it was smooth. I pushed up the hill to #1 to stay in touch with everyone and suffered from then on but managed to finish well. I handed over to Nic C who had a steady run. Nic M ran the 3rd leg with no possibility of catching anyone and so we finished 3rd. AR had a solid performance to take 1st with Witsoc coming 2nd.
