Cycling (Bill stewart) 56:30 [3] 15.0 km (15.9 kph)

Usual route with Alex. My bike computer wasn't working properly.

Orienteering race (Short course final) 28:15 [5] *** 3.5 km (8:04 / km)
spiked:12/14c slept:7.0 shoes: New Balance 472

New map of Tshwane University of Technology. It's an interesting area with some tricky bits. The map was missing quite a lot of detail. I made 20 second mistakes on 4 and 7 but the rest went well. My concentration was good and the intense map reading helped me forget about my sore legs.
I came 2nd :-). Over a minute behind Salome but over a minute ahead of Tania

Orienteering (Line Course) 1:06:17 [3] 3.28 km (20:13 / km)
shoes: New Balance 472

Junior training at Klipriviersberg.
We walked up a hiking trail to the start of the line course. I found it quite tricky especially to start with and went slowly the whole way. It was hard to pick up some of the features and I didn't feel very confident. Liz helped me quite a bit.

Orienteering (Window and contour course) 27:56 [4] 2.7 km (10:21 / km)
shoes: New Balance 472

Skipped 1 and 2 because I took longer on the line course than I should have. I found this a bit easier. I found the controls easily and was in contact with the map. Felt a bit more positive after this exercise.
Good session although it was quite an adjustment after all the sprint O we've been doing.

Short, easy run. To Queen, along Nottingham and up Nile.

Orienteering intervals (At Wits) 25:00 [3] 3.75 km (6:40 / km)
slept:9.0 shoes: Adidas Response

Interval training. We did 6 sets of 3, 4 or 5 controls. I set the courses but I still got tricked by some of the legs.

Track/speed work race 3:58 [5] 1.0 km (3:58 / km)
shoes: Adidas Response

Yay! I managed to get under 4 minutes. Garry ran with me to set the pace and his pacing was perfect :-)

Running 18:06 [3]
shoes: Adidas Response

My legs are not feeling great so I decided not to do my usual hill session. Instead I found a hill closer to home. I ran down Nile, along Nottingham and up Protea, did my hills on Orion then ran home. My legs felt fine once I'd warmed up.

Running hills 11:30 [5]
shoes: Adidas Response

Ouch! Ran up Orion from Derby to Highland. I did it 4 times with 2min rest. Times were 1:16, 1:14, 1:14, 1:11. Good training but rather unpleasant.
