Ebotse Parkrun (Benoni)
Quite a flat route along the edge of Vanryn Dam. My calves are quite sore so took it fairly easy - was aiming for about 6min/km. Quite hot out already.
The parents did their 2nd parkrun!

Biogen Halloween trail run at PWC Bike Park.
Always enjoy running at the Bike Park. A few changes to the route since I last did it. They've built lots of new bridges and wooden walkways. I started a bit fast but it was awesome to be running alone for most of the way. Died towards the end and calves were feeling pretty sore in the last half. Not a very strong field (most people were dressed in crazy costumes) so I was the 2nd lady. Got a cool backpack and some Biogen products :-)

Golden Harvest Park Run.
Very tough route and my legs were feeling pretty heavy. Great tour of the park though. Big crowd from O' today. Even got my parents to come along :-)

Moonchaser Night Trail run at Big Red Barn.
Strapped my ankle well and it felt decent. Ran at a comfortable pace. Picked it up a bit in the last 2km. Route was a bit different to the last time I ran it, although with all the twists it's hard to keep track of where you are. Anyway, always fun to hit the trails at night :)

Lonehill Parkrun.
Slower 1st km with Roffe. Good to warm up and see how the ankle was feeling. Picked it up after that and really enjoyed the last km, which is mostly downhill, into the finish.

Mountain Marathon - Klipriviersberg
The goal for today was to try and enjoy it. Saw lots of animals which was cool. Took a tumble on a rocky downhill - got a few scrapes, nothing serious. Can't say I'm sad that the Bushveld series is over for the year!

Ventured east to Boksburg Park run.
It's quite a nice route - mostly jeep tracks. Legs were feeling heavy. Also had tomorrow's MM on my mind, although I need to get some good back to back days in before Big-5. The wind was pretty hectic. The last km was a struggle uphill into the wind!

SA champs relay - klipkraal
Ran 1st leg for witsoc (medium course) with Roffe and Dylan. Felt pretty dead but it was short enough that I could maintain a decent pace. Had a few small misses / hesitations but otherwise quite a clean run.
Great result for witsoc. 2nd overall and beat tuks.

SA Champs Long Distance
Really tough today! Hilly, hot and lots of brashings! My navigation wasn't amazing but no disasters. Need to work on the basics. Struggled physically. Drank at all water points and was really relieved to see Albert handing out water at #19. Managed to pick up the pace slightly on the last few downhill controls into the finish.

SA Champs Middle. Olifantsgeraamte NW
Tough race. Very hot, hilly and lots of brashings. 2 min start intervals for the WRE. Michelle caught me at #8, we caught Tania at #10 and the 3 of us spent the rest of the course together. Tania and I tried to pull away ever now and then but didn't succeed. Then I started dying towards the end and was just hanging on. So 2 min behind Michele. The Swedish visitor did 47. Tomorrow is going to be tough!

We won Wits Sports Club of the Year! So cool! :D
Regretting my decision to wear heels. Calves need some rest now!
