Trying to not be too discouraged by my hamstring. Was going to walk this and convinced Vince to come with me and that we'd do it together. We discussed on the bus whether we were going to end up arguing if we co-navigated (we did not end up arguing). So hot and muggy, I was pretty sure I'd walk even if my leg was fine. I had a nice lesson at the beginner's instruction, I should talk more to people staffing that spot to learn more about route choice - I'm not doing any route planning, I just muscle through to the next control - just to hear more words about orienteering. V and my different personalities come through in our navigation - Vince is pretty good about knowing generally where we are and he uses the compass much less than I do, but loses interest in the detail of the map. I focus too much on the details and could be looking for a rootstock in the completely wrong area.
