Rare evening run. Up the west side of Rock Creek to the police office then back along the valley trail. Legs not feeling too bad, but tired on the hills, and left knee became a little sore towards the end. It's been niggling a while... But a nice evening and a decent run.

Same session as last Saturday (2 by 200, 500, 1000, first at 80% second at 100%), but I had a proper breakfast and felt a lot better. 2.40 for the 500 and 5.30 for the 500. Then tacked on an extra trip up to mile rock and back.

At WCC. Just upper body, dumbell stuff.

Cruised back via the CCT and RCP. Legs felt better than before the kayaking, and not too bad. Didn't push it, but still kept a decent tempo.

With Abo and Lisa from work over to Malcom X park. Legs feeling really rubbish, so I'm glad it wasn't any further. Another struggle-fest. Possibly something to do with having cake and Margaritas for dinner last night, and 4.5 hours sleep (why, oh why, can't I sleep past 5am?!!), on top of whatever was making me feel crap yesterday.

Spread over about an hour, we tried out Abo's natural environment training regime, i.e. a few dips and presses and bear crawls and wheelbarrows and step-ups. It was kinda fun, just a shame I felt so empty. Abo talks too much, not enough action :p

Observatory loop. Just sort of ran around (some people would call this "junk miles") because I felt like going for a run. Something down in the ol' psoas has been stirred up again. Hopefully it will settle down soon.

7 by 4 minutes on, 1 minute off. Only I could only manage 4 and a half efforts and then it was a struggle-fest just to get back to the boathouse. I'd felt weak just riding to the session, and unfortunately didn't feel any better in the boat. Not sure why.

Usual loop. Feeling reasonably good. It seems as though having an easier week at work last week was what I needed to start feeling better again?

WCC session. 10 by 1 min on, 1 min off, then 5 minutes easy, then 5 more of 1 on, 1 off. Good session.
