Running in the snow! Took advantage of the "terrible" weather to run across downtown to Allen St. The snow was actually pretty good and I enjoyed being out in unseasonal weather. Some crazy people were still queuing outside the witch shops on the main street. The weather has been seriously welcomed here in Salem, putting off the final weekend of visitors who wouldn't take no for an answer.

I got back on track with the A to Z! Admirals Lane, an interesting cul de sac in a relatively new condo development that looks like it belongs in a ski resort. I did get to explore Salem Woods at last. There were lots of slippy boardwalks but a couple of cute rock outcrops and sections of conifers that rescued the thick bits.
I started in the late morning when it was raining and town wasn't too bad. It cleared up while I was out and on the way back I had to avoid the city center because it was full of goddamn Spooky tourists not wearing masks. It's a zoo down there and it is maddening that these idiots think their stupid fake holiday vacation is more important than locals getting their kids back into schools. Just two more weeks to go :(
I couldn't run anymore after an hour or so but if felt pretty good till then.
Adding walking with Euan on my back as I always got sore calves afterwards! We finally got a parking spot at Coolidge Reservation today and went for a picnic. The great lawn is glorious, and we saw two seals. It was really lovely, but I need definite hints on layering from those of you with more experience! Also gloves - he always likes fiddling with stuff - are there any non-mittens for babies this age? Do they even work - can you get normal gloves onto constantly moving fingers?!
Euan is getting pretty heavy now and only just getting the hang of being mobile. My hands hurt in really weird places from carrying him. I don't think we have many weeks left at all of carrying him everywhere though, so sure it will be fine!
I think my "office" set up at home is probably also terrible - wrists almost certainly not at the right angle for sitting at a computer all day.

Sinuses full of solid gunk fro second daycare cold of the season but thought I should try to run - went out with the intention of keeping the heart rate below 150 for twenty mins. It was actually impossible. But turns out my strap was out of battery and it was using wrist monitoring, so actually hopefully I'm not as sick or unfit as I thought I was! New battery in now so I'll try again tomorrow.

Way too many crunches. I am officially healed there but the endurance in those muscles has a long way to go. It's embarrassing how long it took to do the crunches. Got to get back to the regular yoga with good breathing.
Euan is ill again - not badly enough to be grumpy but snotty enough that he's not allowed at daycare. I am veeeeerrrryyyyy behind and veeeerrryyyy tired. Not sure this will be sustainable through the winter. Not excited.
