Euan's British passport was approved today, removing one of the largest components of my current anxiety. It's not in our hands yet, but good to know it is coming and we can now travel as a family if necessary.

This didn't feel good but it didn't feel terrible either. I felt really down at the end, when usually a run is a mood enhancer. When will I get to hug my family again?
I did actually run twice this week, but I am no longer motivated enough to log to find my connecting cable. Yesterday was gross but today the humidity broke and it was nice. I took an easy week, my boss just said he loves the paper rewrite, it's basically ready to go minus a few typos, and Euan is getting sooooo close to his first steps. He's definitely skipped crawling. His first tooth has stopped hurting and he has been sunshine and giggles for the last three days and my word...he's a wonderful little boy. I've been doing the "sausages" voice from that old Walls advert and its the first thing I've done that has made him belly laugh. Usually I have to copy Daddy's clear comedy genius :)

Was hoping to get back on track this weekend but the heatwave and poor air quality were not attractive.
I did finish the major redraft of the paper though, so that is a huge weight off my mind, and am planning to take things a bit easier for a little while.
Last week sucked at work and Euan was waking up at 5.30 (after I'd been working till 10) and I fell off the exercise bandwagon. Was ready to restart today but it is soooo humid - maybe tomorrow?!
Edit: My stomach has also been crappy enough that I don't really trust running. Stress? Probably.

Longer run and finally made it over the bridges! The Kernwood bridge was down so I kept moving and found another small trail that will be perfect for exploration by a small person, and ends on a nice rocky point with a great view. We're really lucky to have moved here.
Run felt great, writing this on Monday I am wiped! Oops :)
In the afternoon we had a socially distanced visit from the Halls. Our first visitors since March! It was very lovely, and Euan enjoyed having some new people to smile at.

Euan woke up halfway and was bemused by the core exercises. Enough so that he let me finish them while watching intently.

Stroller jog into the cemetery with a sleepy boy. He managed to move about 1.5 metres around his play area this morning through a combination of leaning from sitting and shuffling, all while testing out his new soprano vocal range. Has no interest in crawling but when his feet are in exactly the right position he can pull up! It's time! But all this exercise makes for falling asleep in the stroller just before we get back to the crib for a nap :)
Wow super tough Freeletics session with clap press ups and 400m sprints. My clap press ups were unimpressive but almost there and my sprints were not sprints - but two months ago I would not have been able to complete this session! Definite progress!
