No one had thrown up since last Tuesday, we had washed all our linen and towels and disinfected everything yesterday...Rob's Dad started throwing up at 5 this morning.

When will this end?!? Euan is back at daycare so eagerly awaiting round 2. I wish I could fast forward winter.

We have had a week of an exciting illness which began with vomiting and ended with a cold. We actually think Euan got it first, with a day that starting with him throwing up his whole breakfast and followed with a lot of spit up. Then Daddy went down, then Mummy went down. Now we're all just full of snot. I was in bed all day Wednesday, with short breaks to pump and feed, and very glad Rob's parents are here!

Euan has been in great spirits throughout. He really is a happy little guy.

Euan has a cold, Rob has food poisoning (we hope), Becky has all her fingers crossed. Wouldn't mind the cold but don't want to be throwing up.

Side note - how does one get over a fear of throwing up?! ;)

I ran for 20 minutes! Spent a lovely day with Euan but too windy for a stroll most of the day, so when Rob and parents got back I jumped out for a run. Enjoyed it, getting cold.

Work is going well, pumping is a pain, and the little guy gets back from daycare with a new sound or facial expression every day. It’s incredible. His new game is unlatching whilst feeding, giving me a huge grin, then face planting back down. Not a game I want to encourage really but impossible to resist.

It’s going to be pretty tough till we’re done breastfeeding but I like the balance of Mumming and working much more than 100% Mumming. I’m so happy to see him when I get to daycare.

Things are much better! I don't know if it's just time or the end of the two colds we all had or the dairy free diet or a combination of everything, but our screaming all the time baby is now a happy, smiling, and LAUGHING bundle of fun. Of course not all the time, but his personality has really emerged and it's great.

He started half days at daycare this week and it's gone well - of course he hasn't figured out napping there yet but that will come with time. I'm going back M-W-F and have to go in super early on the train to get back in time for pick up. Tricky to time when his overnight feed is still all over the place, but that will get easier with time. I compiled the final draft of two papers before 10 am this Friday morning and it felt SO good.

It might be tough logistically but I think I'm going to be mentally much happier with some work and some Mumming. I missed his first laugh on Friday and rather than being fed up the video Rob sent me was sooooooo delightful that I was deliriously happy.
