Dealing with the DOMs this morning. Tried to go down to the waterfront, but the road to IKEA is closed so that was no good. Should cycle out to East Rock for these runs!

On the way back I saw the weekly Planned Parenthood Protest and counter protest. This being Connecticut they are all so civil to each other that unless they're currently holding a placard, you can't tell who to high five and who to scowl at.

Then in Wooster Square Park I saw a confused looking Woodpecker wandering around with the sparrows. I got a gourmet ice pop from the Farmer's Market for breakfast. It's okay because it had yoghurt in it.

Already pretty scorching at 8 o' clock.

Easy run to celebrate having finally fully moved in. Got out before lunchtime but wow, it was still hot. Put sun cream on and burned anyway, I guess it melted right off again. Ready for the end of this now! Every day for the past four it has said the max temperature will be below 30, and every day it has reached at least 34. Ugh. Very glad for my bedroom AC unit. Happy to go for a jog and ready to get back to it. Was worried I was getting ill when I left Cambridge and glad to see that hasn't happened.

Marc told me there was a hill in Cambridge and I didn't believe him. So a final morning run, going to find the hill.

They're not very good at hills in Cambridge :)

The final day of the course, then a day with Rob in Cambridge, followed by a day trying not to be in Peterborough. And then back! Had a much more relaxing flight this time, and got back at a reasonable hour, but then spent the rest of the week finishing unpacking and building furniture in mega heatwave. Finally finish on Saturday. Happy to be settled in now!
