Rob joined me for a faster jaunt around Lake Wintergreen today. We would have gone even further, but the stupid Russian dog came careering out of the forest and terrified me, while the owner did nothing but yell at is as usual. This is at least the fourth time it has come at me. I don't know what to do about it.
I started very well on my aims from this week, and was almost 100% successful with the 10 minute jog part of the plan. Freeletics was not as great, and I almost managed to leave work at 6 every day.
This week is all about TTs. 11.5 minute jogs Sun-Weds, leave work by 6. Freeletics every day if poss.
Then it's time to get the job done!
Life has thrown me a lot of curveballs over the last few months. I think I am coming out of them strongly, but I'm really glad Mum & Dad are coming over for TTs.
I will be very glad when this weekend is finished! I just hope everyone enjoys it, and am glad it's not this weekend in this heat!

Started today's Freeletics, then Steve the new Exec Director arrived, so I ditched it. He took me round the assembly area and was super super keen. The good news for WCOC is that he's really excited about getting local people involved with the woods, partly through use of the farmhouse (where his Mom and the old Exec Director still live), so this is hopefully not the last time we get in there. Great guy!

Still extremely tired. I get to spend this weekend mostly at home though, which is great.
I knew I would pay for the crazy fortnight of travel, and I am. I am tired and not recovering well from exercise. So my aim for the next week is to run ten minutes each day (preferably in the morning, before work), to do a short Freeletics on five days, and to leave work by 6pm. I will not manage this final point on Monday, but that's because I'm skiving off part of the day for my hopefully final trip to Pond Mountain.

Red at Sessions Woods. I really was quite terrible, but it was fun to race a bit at the end. My navigation was very loose, too loose. Still much more fun than planning.

After yesterday felt really hard, I just shuffled today in the other direction along the canal. It was more fun. Watched a kamikaze duck Mum and then gave a kick ass talk. The Biltmore is fancy.
