I just started the Inspector Gamache novel set in the Abbey and every time it mentions the prior my mind thinks it’s talking about a Bayesian prior and it is so confusing. My brain is so tired.
We have almost submitted the paper on analyzing lateral flow assays for COVID antibodies. We missed the bus by so much that now vaccines are being talked about the bus came back! Yey!
More dance. Didn't want to do anything but felt better after having done it. These four walls plus garden are starting to get a bit oppressive now, am missing daily stroller walks. Still 9 days to go!

Wanted to continue to more zen like loops but the grass is suffering a bit in places so I had to shake it up today. Made it over half a mile with ridiculously inaccurate tracking :)
Tour de quarantine day 3. Felt quite zen doing it this morning in the sunshine. Aware that I am starting to make a track in the grass. Will probably have to switch it up!
Still got a sense of taste and smell although Rob has now eaten all the Camembert so we no longer get a COVID taste every time we open the fridge.
After taking a few steps here and there for months, Euan decided last night that it was time to walk. It was really fun.
Another dance workout. This one was easier moves so I got my heart rate up more. Still feel like someone's uncle at a wedding.

Tour de quarantine day 2. This direction around the garden is much more technical and it's actually a pretty good workout - a small hill, some steps, and some jumps. Certainly more technical than my average A to Z run in Salem. My garmin thinks I went from de-training to maintaining today, so that's nice. I am already missing our daily walks, but we're trying to teach Euan how to play football. So far he mostly giggles when Mummy misses a shot. He's also practicing going down stairs and that's a little nerve wracking on the big paving stones outside! Ready with lightning reflexes to catch him.
Still both got sense of smell and taste. Journey felt relatively safe, no one within 15 rows on the BOS-DUB flight. Then on DUB-MAN they crammed all 20 people in the flight into the same 6 rows on a 30 row plane. We said absolutely no way and sat at the back miles from anyone. Good mask compliance on all the flights and at BOS, terrible compliance inside both DUB and MAN. A whole sniveling team of teenage Dutch footballers wandering round DUB food court with masks hanging off their ears. We got out of there pretty fast. Fingers crossed. 12 days to go!
Dance workout on Obe fitness. I am very much not a dancer. But it is good to feel silly and raise the HR at the same time. Made me feel like somebody’s uncle at a wedding.

Tour de quarantine day 1. 14 days of this is going to be interesting.
Not really a ceilidh but a silly dance work out to try and pass some time this evening. I actually enjoyed it and it was easier than running but not pointless. Now to do yoga before going anywhere near the rest of the internet.

I've felt really out of shape these past two runs. I guess this is what you get for being 37, stressed and exhausted, and having barely left the house in a year. I keep thinking maybe we got COVID from daycare in the early days but honestly it seems more likely I'm just really out of shape.
Got the Almeda St's today and discovered a new park with a couple of trails in it. It'll be nice when I can run a bit further and actually explore places like this! The next run takes me to a totally different area of town - getting a bit fed up of the way almost all the recent runs end up at Boston St and Mack Park.
