Note
Oh dear. I am a wreck this month. I woke up yesterday and my back was a bit stiff, but I'd slept for the longest I had in months so I figured I was just stiff. Spent half the day in the garden and it was the same, stiff but not serious. Then throughout the evening it got worse and worse. It was difficult to find a comfortable position to sleep. This morning it is really bad. Tried to go for my Monday shuffle, but that was not happening. Took 5 steps, pain. Walked for a few metres, tried to jog five more paces, pain. So gave up and drove to work - turning the steering wheel a lot also hurt.
I am currently using one of those heat pad things and have taken ibuprofen. Is the heat actually a good idea? Would I be better with ice? Any care advice would be much appreciated. I might go for a walk later. I'm pretty sure it's my right serratus posterior inferior, but it could also be the attachment site of the lattissimus dorsi attachment near the spine, but I think the smaller muscle is more likely. Twisting is bad.
Foam roller a bad idea with acute pain?
Trust me to do Cross Fit for two years and pull my back by being asleep!
