Trail run (1 hour 40' easy ) 1:41:27 [2] 18.58 km (5:28 / km) +560m 4:45 / km
shoes: Speedcross pro 2

Joined Craig Roberts for his Sunday run, through the woods and steep side of the golf course, around Cunswick, along the Scar and up Nicks hill, he went back at the top of Nicks hill after about 65' and I dropped down to the end of Scout Scar before heading back the same way. Keeping it easy chatting with Craig. Legs seem okay, plantar fascia on both feet pretty tight.

Trail run (Warm down) 15:36 [2] 3.4 km (4:35 / km) +75m 4:08 / km
shoes: Sense 6 SG #2

A little bit rushed but felt like I did enough, jogged up the route a bit with some drills and strides and had a good look at the first river crossing, first bit of the race seemed pretty flat.

Trail run race (Glas Tulaichean ) 36:12 [5] 7.15 km (5:04 / km) +670m 3:27 / km
shoes: Sense 6 SG #2

Went off with Robbie but couldn't maintain the same pace on the climb but I think it was a pretty good race. Relatively flat first few km with proper climb starting around 3k where Robbie really pulled away. Was surprised by the river crossings hopefully made for some good pictures. Felt like I struggled a little bit to switch up into faster running and pick it up on the flatter sections, quads were burning on the steeper sections. Quite pleased to have been able to hold quite a high intensity for the whole race. Think could go a tad quicker now I know where it goes.

Trail run (Warm down) 36:38 [2] 7.22 km (5:04 / km) +9m 5:03 / km
shoes: Sense 6 SG #2

Back all the way down with Robbie having a good chin wag. Tom Owens carrying on for a long run into the clouds.

Grass run (60' easy + strides ) 1:00:51 [2] 13.0 km (4:41 / km) +186m 4:22 / km
shoes: #2 XA Elevate

Laps of Kendal green, quads feeling quite delicate again after the downhill yesterday but the run was nice and the strides were good. Submitted last essay for uni this morning so that is very very good.

Grass session hills (20'easy+8x3'Hills+20'easy) 1:25:24 intensity: (1:01:24 @2) + (24:00 @5) 13.09 km (6:31 / km) +982m 4:45 / km
shoes: S/lab XA Amphib 2

Back over to Firbank Fell again doing the same steep route up as last time. I was surprised at how far up I got on the first 3 reps going a fair few strides further up then last time covering about 36 meters with just over a 100 meters climb with not too much effort, but that didn't last long and I gradually struggled more and more to maintain the same tempo. It seems like the 4th, 5th and 6th reps were fairly respectable efforts but I started to crumble on the 7th with legs feeling pretty heavy and unresponsive and had a bit of a headache by that point as well. Went a bit further up on the last one but legs felt like they were pretty gone still looks like I did about 90 meters climb on the last one.
Lacked the consistency of lasts weeks session but I still a pretty good workout I think.
This has never been a pleasant session but I didn't feel I was able to get the best out of it, maybe went a bit too fast early on but I remember specifically trying to run at a pace I thought I could hold. Might be more tired from the weekend than I thought.

Turbo 1:20:54 [3]
ahr:128 max:152

In the gym with ear phones listening to the radio through my phone. Started pretty easy for the first 10 minutes before turning the resistance up slightly and holding a slightly more moderate intensity for the rest and easier for the last 10 minutes.
Forgot how much of a difference music can make when sitting on the indoor bike.
