Blackhill challenge. I knew I was going to be slower than last year which was fine but I didn’t know just how bad my legs would feel at the summit. Usually I can do the last 4km downhill with speed but I felt wrecked.

Pros- I ran the whole thing this year, even the bessablock ridge. I have never acieved that before. When I got to the top I was so amazed with myself that I put my hands in the air and the two runners behind me cheered.
So 6th this year but that’s all good considering I havnt run over 10km since May.

Morialta run. Lucy ran pretty much the whole way up to pretty corner. What a champ.

Also today I didn’t have any coffee. This is the first day in 7 years I have not had a coffee. I feel surprisingly ok but tired.

Warm up at Harriers and then 1 set of 100,200,300,400,500,400,300,200,100 with 100 walk in between. Hamstrings felt alright.

Strength and conditioning 15:00 [3]

Strength exercises in the gym afterwards and warm down on the bike.
