Orienteering at gravel pit. This name always confuses me because there is not that much gravel and its not in a big hole. In fact this map should be called somewhat rocky spur, cause that's what it is. Where there is rock, there is a lot of it which is nicely mapped and is very accurate, but none the less the course was had another control in the wrong spot, much like my course from the sa long champs there last year. Oh well, felt like I was running a very long middle distance course today with lots of short legs and no long ones.
Mel and Liv decided to run up today so we had a lot of people on the course today which was awesome. We did an awesome chase and the girls did a good job of keeping up. Had the 3 senior boys, 2 senior girls, bun, Lauren, Jenny, myself and fern on the course today.
Wish I navigated better. I just made silly mistakes getting to the controls which wasted time.

Went running around sprigg road and up to lofty and back through botanic gardens. I have this heat rash on my face and its heaps gross.

Putting out controls, warming up and chasing juniors down for training.
Set up a sprint course where the juniors had to stop and answer math questions twice on the course. They also had 4 sprint legs, it they weren't sprinting , they Didnt get a lolly.

run around olave and into the park. it was hottish and had to stop for a drink in belair. Ran with Zara for the last part back in the Dene.
