Note

CAN YOU IDENTIFY THIS INJURY?
After running yesterday in the qld mid distance champs, i had this massive itch on the back of my left achiles tendon on my skin. It was red and looked like a bite right on the back of my leg just above my shoe line. I was wearing socks so.. i dont think it is a bite, however i got a jumping cactus( tiger pear) in that same spot on the course. The itch then became pain, and was very sore by 8pm where my brother said i had what seems like achilies tendonitus.. :S He strapped it and the pain went away. I ran this morning on the long distance and i was in alot of pain when i came back and the pain worsened to a point where just moving my leg hurt. It hurts the flex my foot down and i can not stand on my toes at all. Is it achiles tendonitis? i have never had problems with my foot before... sooo i dunno. Is it a jumping cactus needle embbed deep into my heel?
any ideas?

orienteering race 37:02 [4] *** 3.9 km (9:30 / km)
spiked:5/8c shoes: jalas flx

qld champs middle distance, the winner of this race was the person who found the 5th control by fluke. i came 2nd, finding it by a fluke on the 2nd attempt. some werent so lucky. It was definatly in the wrong spot, as my bearing to 6 suggested that i from 5 go straight over the top of the hill,. my compass said go right over the otherside of the hill.

since it was raining and puddly i thought this was the best oppurtunity to clean my bike the lazy way,.. it was a good theory but it just ended up making the bike worse along with spraying dirt all up my backside

run (gap creek west trail run) 1:00:00 [3] 6.0 km (10:00 / km)

this was hilarious, clives training today, no one showed up but mark, clive and me so we went to gap creek west. like uber west. and run around there because clive and mark want to map it. started pissing down with rain, but meh, we found heaps of new tracks and mines and other crazy stuff, quite odd if someone saw two old men and a teenage girl running around in the rain out there, but luckily we only saw one person who gave us funny looks.
ahh old man stories are the best.
best training ive had in a while
