Blackhill challenge. I knew I was going to be slower than last year which was fine but I didn’t know just how bad my legs would feel at the summit. Usually I can do the last 4km downhill with speed but I felt wrecked.

Pros- I ran the whole thing this year, even the bessablock ridge. I have never acieved that before. When I got to the top I was so amazed with myself that I put my hands in the air and the two runners behind me cheered.
So 6th this year but that’s all good considering I havnt run over 10km since May.

Morialta run. Lucy ran pretty much the whole way up to pretty corner. What a champ.

Also today I didn’t have any coffee. This is the first day in 7 years I have not had a coffee. I feel surprisingly ok but tired.

Warm up at Harriers and then 1 set of 100,200,300,400,500,400,300,200,100 with 100 walk in between. Hamstrings felt alright.

Strength exercises in the gym afterwards and warm down on the bike.

Jog to try out new shoes. They were alright for a first run.
I was feeling rather lethargic and had planned to do olave hill but then I heard Callum in the park somewhere so decided to try and find Zara. I didn’t so just did 4x half hill reps of Nookoo track. This is my training for Blackhill in 2 weeks haha. Good luck me

It took me an hour to remember what happened on that course
I walked lots
I still don’t know how I got from 17-18. I think I just magically appeared there.
