First run in a bit. Starting off back at the beginning... except for Orienteering ( which seems to not make it hurt (that much) ) that I will be doing for the next two weekends.

2x10 30kg squats and then I tried another 10 but only made 5.

I also did 2x10 10kg double hamstring curl. I wanted to do one legged ones but the lowest weight is 10kg and I couldn’t do that.

Mtb through Belair. Stopped to take a picture of naughty cat who was out the front of Belair. We find this cat in our back yard sometimes but we don’t know where it lives. Belair np is 2.5km from it house, so that’s a fair way to roam.

Clean run (just one little compass error) I ran up all the hills with power which was nice.
I was out there having fun really.

Legs not able to move fast at all. When I finished I felt I could go for another 90mins. I was in no way tired. SO yeah.. feel amazingly fit but my legs are at 80% moving speed.
I will be focusing on rest and recovery this week and maybe next week too.

ALSO my shoulder hurts...WHY?

Mother’s Day classic fun run. Simon and I both came third which was cool. Didn’t run as hard at the end as last year but good to know that it was about the same time even with my hammy playing up recently. It’s on the mend and I can feel the strength in my running stride come back. :)

I also got a massage tonight and apparently “ damn girl, literally everything is tight and knotted”
I agree with her. It was super painful.

At heathfield. I got stuck trying to go across the hill to get to 2. I realised the green was way too thick and went back so wasted time there.

Leg press, calf raises, hamstring curls, 5 chin ups! And normal physio exercises.

Good game until I got a finger to the eye. The WA managed to slice her finger across my eye and stab my tear duct. Weirdest feeling and quite painful. I actually cried which I don’t usually do when I get injured.

Bah, what a debacle.
Anyway, hamstring felt alright. I need to get back into pace running practice to actually try and do these better. I have been focusing so much on my short interval speed and longer runs and fixing my hamstring that parkruns have gone to the bottom of my priority list.
I will go again next week.

Woke up this morning with horrible stomach pain and had to race to the toilet. I have been in and out of the bathroom all day with gastro problems :(
Anyway I went for a run with the group but felt shit so went home... then to the ohoc meeting.

Feeling better as I’m typing this finally at 9pm.
18hour bug I’m hoping.
