Middle act.

I don't know why this didn't work today. I felt good at the start, I felt focused and I started hard which was evident by my splits to 5 in which I was in the lead. Then I read the green wrong going to 6 and began to panic that I was too short. I figured it out ok but I felt rushed and panicked for the rest of the course and my breath felt really short. I didn't get my breathing right and I think my head was all over the place so I was making more mistake.

I felt a bit deflated and in the last loop I really struggled. I lost my breath completely twice and went into complete hyperventilating panic mode at 19 and 21. And then when I finished I lost my breath again and had another hyperventilating episode. So embarrassing and I think I need to go to the doctor to check for asthma or maybe talk to a sports psychologist about why I am panicking so much.

Heat a race. Felt good from the start and was focused. Very observant of my surroundings and reading ahead what I needed to see.

Tassie long hagaby. I did the first two loops quite well but the last loop was a real drag on my legs. I navigated ok but lost 5 places in the last 5 controls. They all ran past me. Sigh. I have to focus on speed at the end.

Tassie middle at Pittwater. Started horribly making a very big error on one. Refocused and took it easier after that. Really focused on easy ways to get into the controls so I didn't waste time in the circle. It seemed to work as I was running ok( although rather slower than I liked) 5th behind Susen, Tash, Jo and Bun.

3km time trial. So it was 25sec faster than last time which was good however, my km rates were 4min, 4:47 and then 4min... I obviously run terribly in the middle of races. I didn't even think I was running slowly.

Anyway it was a fun event.

We did a qual and a final with bib numbers as well!

I was .5sec off johns time for heat A so I started 3rd to last. And then I was a bit scrappy in the final so lost a hit of time but I ran way harder at the end.
