australia day trail run! i am still pretty sore so i was a little aprehensive of doing this, this morning. But oh well i got into a good pace about 20mins in and it stuck till the end. also stairs werent so brutal as they were 2 weeks ago.

inner thighs still very very sore.

btw this run was from brighton to hallet cove on the marion coastal trail with all the sa trail runners :)

this is crazy. i wanted to start earlier but we left at 8am and it was pretty hot for that time of the day already. I was doing ok against the heat( more sun) and lack of wind until about 25mins. then i really slowed down and tried to find shade where ever i could. by the time i got the hallet cove i knew that things werent looking good for the way back. i started feeling sick in the stomach at 55mins and then had a little panic attack. still i ran( plodded) back to sit in the ocean for a bit until i cooled down.
I didnt stop feeling sick unitl about 20mins after when simon bought me coke and hashbrowns.

he reckons it was heat stress, but i think it had something to do with dehydration more as i hadnt drunk alot of water in the previous 24hours and was sunburnt from riding yesterday,
ANYWAY next time i will wear a hat.

summer series event at mawson lakes. i have never been there before and i have to admit it was quite pretty. A shorter 15 control scatter tonight and a little bit hot. I had to use quite a bit of time to figure out where i was to go and to check i had 15 controls.

bridgewater to mt lofty run. felt so much better then i have before on a long run. it was only 8kms to the top but the last 1km up was very very tough as it was incomparison to the kokoda trail on mt cootha, but im happy to have run the whole way. we had jelly beans and ice poles up the top and ran back down through the botanic gardens. we all took a different route and met up at the bottom carpark. that was pretty fun.
then sorta the same route from there back.

summer series. i actually think i ran alright. still was very hot though and it did cause me to slow down quite a bit. my face was very hot and started to hurt. that was annoying.

run at belair. i dont think people were quite enthused tonight. i know i wasnt but i get on truckin and it turned out to be a pretty good run.
I'm still pretty sore from sprint training and running on sunday so i think i need another rest day before the bridgewater to lofty run on sunday

Warm up for sprint training. i wasnt that stiff today unlike yesterday and was pretty limber from the hour walk i did before hand. did alot of run throughs weeeeeeeeee

Robin set an awesome race at Flinders uni. there were two courses and two people started at the same time on the different loops. made a few mistakes where i didnt plan my exit route to the next control before i entered the control before hand. Oh and then i couldnt find the pond ( turns
out it was dry and i was standing on top of it in amongst the reeds)

'summit to sea' but more like 'summit to hawthorndene to work'' for me.
i was running heaps well today! im very happy with my run and i was flying through belair until i got stopped by the non orienteering runners who didnt know how to run down a single track near echo tunnel. Adrian caught up to me then and joined the chain gang until about 5mins. i finally passed them and found a toilet near the entrance of the park. I had needed to go to the toilet since the beginning of the race.
the last part of the race i led a girl down a wrong track because i sweared that this track led to the same track we wanted to go to with no extra length. turns out when i ran through their a few months ago by myself, it was actually private property and today i found out the owners had replaced it a fence. ( this is on that lane off rosella ave)

down to seacliff, it was really windy. We ran on the beach past brighton so somewhere? and then we ran on the beach back with no shoes on. my feet started to hurt so i put my shoes back on and ran on the road.
