im planning on doing the trex tri on the 25th nov so i got on my bike today to see how i was at riding at the moment. not too bad but it was mainly flat.
i plan to do the short course which is only 10km hilly ride.

i have spent the rest of this morning dealing with possible sponors for our cyclones summer sprint series. very exciting

i started at goat farm then down to gap creek , through chapel hill up to the summit via the resevior, to channel nine then back down highwood road to car.
i saw matt bourke out running he didnt look as stuffed as me though. then i went to the coffee club after for breakie and had a massive bowl of muesli

hahahaha i really dont think those boys knew what they were getting themselves into. I warned them that rogaines are terrible but noooo. So i went and did the upside down with a few of my brothers housemates who are keen outdoorsy types. They asked me to come to navigate...cause they cant. Anyway this was at old hidden vale with a 1:20000 scale. It wasnt a very big rogaine and the course wasnt that hard.
after :
2 hours the boys were like yah rogaines are fun
3 hours, rogaines are alright im a bit sore though
4 hours rogaines are shit
5 hours *&^#@#!!
6 hours =home

hahahaha now they cant stand and are cranky. We still won the novice class...even with me a non rogaine novice but shhh dont tell anyone.

i also made the boys run the first 3 controls but after that they were really tired...sigh

was quite nice out there today and i enjoyed myself
i didnt make too many mistakes but it wasnt clean. ran off my line a bit and hesitated at before controls where i had to stop

but qld won yah!

i ran like a jerk today. i would have a great plan to get to the control and then for some reason run off the line 90degrees and end up some where else being like waaah?? but when i got to the control it was fine, except for 10 where blair distracted me over the loud speaker. i was standing on top of the cliff looking over it, couldnt see it and so ran up the hill to another control on a cliff, decided to run back to the other cliff to find it there... orienteering fail.
