very tired from staying up late to watch the 110hurdles and legs are a bit sore today so i took this pretty easy.
So did 10min warm up on treadmill,
ab work with medicine ball and exercise ball.
pec decks at 10kg 10 x3
90 degree leg extensions at 30kg 5x6
50x 2kg bicep on each arm
knee ups 5x3
10x3 15kg lateral pull downs.
etc etc i have it all written down in my gym book somewhere.

warm up and warm down,
then had to put out two control and then a race to the start triangle, then we had to do a scatter course back.
and then i did 3 hills and some ab work

so i did 8X 600m, 100 threshold,, easy then 250 hard then easy.

from the mtbo event today up to steve irwin way and down that road for a bit. then i came back the way i came except i tried to take a shortcut through the pine forest but i came to a dead end and had to come back

feeling pretty strange this morning, i guess i was just tired, but it felt as if i had a migraine coming on... but i went out running anyway (after 3 large glasses of water)
the run itself was fine once i got going.I ran from Wendy's house up the steep wiggly track to the ring road. ran up mt cootha road to channel 9 and then down moggil road back to the gap.
I had to stop going down moggil cause my legs were getting really itchy.
also i had fun this morning at Wendy's olympic party! mmm spring rolls and dumplings

yup thats right, i joined a running club.
tonight John got me to do 2X4X400m reps of the track.
1 slow, 2 above threshold, 3 super fast, 4 walk.
i did that twice and it was pretty good.
Everybody there knew rachel and were asking all these questions about her, so if you read this rach, the rangers are missing you.

go i got all measured up today and apparently my BMI is pretty good, right where it should be.. but the gym lady says it should be lower.
This is what a did today
20min warm up jog and warm down
5x5 15kg leg extensions
5x10 22kg 90 deg leg press
5x5 15 kg lying leg curl
5x5 40kg 45degree leg press
5x5 10kg pec deck
2x50 2kg bicep curls
5x10 15kg lat pull down
3x15 medicine ball mid torso (side to side with legs in air and on my lower back with head raised)
2x5 knee ups
3 mins on the row machine
and then i tried the medicine ball but failed miserably

i like this set i did so im going to call this routine 1 for future reference

training back at clives
we did this bearing course where we had to run to the place of the contorl then follown the instructions to the nearest track junction and pace from there back and see if we had to correct bearing. kinda hard to explain but it was really good and compared to last time i did a bearing exercise i think i have improved

a 3k bush time trial around the gap creek area

and so it begins...

i went to the gym today and sussed out the whole situation with the weights and stuff. found some really good machines that will build up my leg muscles especailly my quads and gluts. Yah!
im seeing a personal trainer on wednesday to see if she can sort out a program for me with the weights.
this workout today included my 30min warm up and down on the treadmill, stairs and ski machine (which was fun)
basically all my reps today were 4x10 with 20sec rest inbetween..except all with different weights that i cant remember but they were about 25-40% of maximum

Note

in the past 3 weeks i have lost a total of 4 compasses, two control description holders, 1 sport i dent and 2 head bands
...i suck at keeping track of my o gear but luckily i actually know where half of my stuff is this time. i think my other compasses are gone and lost in czech forever :(

orienteering race 14:27 [4] 2.6 km (5:33 / km)

spent all day out at the qld shcools o champs. ended up running the senior boys sprint course at the end of the day. still found a few out on the course while i was out there even though the event had finished... hrmm anyway people seem to like my courses so yah!
