found my orienteering equillibruim, was running just a bit slower then i could navigate properly, a few mistkes in which i was 20-100m off where control was but was fine, also i have to hvae more faith in my orienteering skills, as other ppl threw me off yet again but not as much as last weekend
by the way michelle my leg from 6-7 was around 15mins

first did this ball thingy where we had to collect golf balls and stuff and put it back in our base thingy, kinda like the shoe game if you played that. had to get three in your base to win, then did it in the bush on a course collecting three controls from 150m distances, i won it twice. was heaps fun

ok qld day 2,
in theory this was one of the owrst runs ever, not only couldnt i run yet again after the 4th conrtol, ive never done a 8.6km course before annnnd i had people with me the whole way that mentally struck me out.
i just didnt ignore and kept thinking about how to pass them and how good my route choices will eb compared to them and in the end i made horrible ones ccause i totally wasnt concentrating from the word go. i went through my race plan at the beggining but as soon as i saw steph half way through the first leg i was gooooone. as soon as they ran away from me i got better but then i caught up to them agian and i did dumb things again. also bearings out of the contorl were off cause i rushed too fast out of the control. 7 - 8 i though i had passed the two gully creeks and instead i passed the major creek, dont ask... got to specatator control and had a panic attack and couldnt breath so i stopped for a breather, some guy helped me so thankyou to him, and ummmmm the second loop was fine. now i have to do 90min runs

so it was the qld champs today!
i had a real clean fast run to begin with, i caught up to erin and grace at the 1st and second control and i was feeling pretty confident at that point, i lost them at 4 and ran off doing my thing when suddenly i realised i was at a creek! stop! hang on turn around came back realised i was too high as i came through the fence soi i missed the erosion gully completly, so i turned west and saw the control.grace found the control at the same time and then i realsied i had no energy left and it was pretty much a trot after that with grace the whole way round the course. grace didnt effect me much which was good i did my own thing and didnt think about "he he he im totally gonna beat her to the control" i was cool with her there. came 2nd, lost 3 mins on 5 and was 6 mins behind laurina, so in theory 3 mins behind her on a runners course was ok for me.

death to all courses in the ipswich region. also i had a real bad case of old man syndrome through out the whole course( where you find an old man and pass him on your course but when you get to the next control hes already there) it happened for 6 of the 9 controls and i had good route choices too!
does anyone else get to old man symdrome too?
