Orienteering at lady alice. Wasn’t concentrating well at all and the heat got to me. Felt very frustrated with my mistakes and couldnt get out of my bad Orienteering rut.
Simon shadowed me but I’m not sure if that made me worse or better. I learnt a lot about looking up though so it wasn’t all a waste.

So the deal with my hamstring is this: it is mild form of hamstring tendenopothy which means I should only do Half amounts of intervals. Had dry needling done today and it worked amazingly.
I go back next week.

Orienteering at Bundy forest. Simon shadowed me but he only gave me worded prompts if I needed reminding to find a line in the forest or to look up.
Looking up and observing my surroundings needs to
Improve and also actually pointing and saying to myself the control is over there so run there does help.
Legs fumbled a lot in the forest. Need more agility work in the terrain.

Pretty average feeling run but I had good company that kept me going. I think I’m feeling a bit flat from the cold last week. Hamstring was ok.
We ran up queen jubilee then to uppersturt railway station then back down through the park down the valley road. We got absolutely soaked and the trees were a bit worrisome. No branches fell on is so that was a plus.

Sick day. I have had a weird as headache all day. Stayed home which is a good thing cause it’s pretty nasty outside today with the wind and the heat. Lots of fires flaring up in the area.

Ran the morning training at Blackwood forest and then I did the course again to collect controls... I also did half of it again to get more controls.
Then I ran over to Belair. Legs were cooked.

Best time so far this year so that’s a plus. Felt ok even after a tough session on Thursday and weights last night. Ankles are very stiff.

Also did some standing jumps and almost made two mats worth of distance

Not good.
Relay day. Was very nervous about starting in the pack and realised very quickly I did not have the aggression needed in my head or my legs today. I tried really hard to try and get it back but I was all alone and made stupid mistakes. I feel like I made 1mins errors on each control but 2. Just not with it at all and I am very disappointed in how this race went.

I need to re-evaluate my bush racing. I’m stuffed and my feet are covered in blisters now. I need a day off.

I’m not sure what my time was, infact I lost all concept of time out there. Long distance today- I pushed quite well in places but at the end to 12 I was very tired. I struggled in the control circle today and found myself reading extra things which confused me. Lost concentration on the way to 6 and went to 11, punched it and then had an argument in my head to the organisers as to how they put the wrong number out, only to realise it was 11.
Just so scrappy in places that at the end of the course I took it really easy to not lose more time. I need to work on attackpoints tomorrow.
