I did a training course before hand with the juniors and a party hat relay after with anyone who wanted an extra run.

I took Callum for a run. We started off ok but Callum realised about 10mins in that I was not Zara and so he sat down and refused to move. I then asked him where he wanted to go and he immediately ran back the way we came as fast as he could go. He was happy when I got him back to
Zara's house, then he immediately wanted to go running again. Sigh

I've also been watching the results for the World masters and I am intrigued with the almost 10min win in the M85 course. Atsushi Takahashi seems like an interesting person to follow. I hope he places tomorrow. Go Japan!

Middle earth sprint. Was ok and started well and did the beach bit well. Lost time on 11 with my route choice.

I looked at the map before hand and thought it would be easy running. This was not the case. It was tricky and very easy to over shoot the control.
I made over shooting mistakes at 1,2,12,13,23 and I made entering the control from the wrong side error at 6, 17, 21.

I swam on the way to 18 and I almost yelled in shock at 14 when I ran into gandalf.
This course had a bit of everything really and while very sloppy I did have fun. The trees were fantastic and I felt super fast on the tracks.

Not how I wanted this race to go at all. It was hard and I am not sure how to confidently run in mud.
I am very annoyed that I ran 5-9 thinking it was 6. Hmmm
I am very disappointed but at least after making my mistakes I didn't give up and kept going.

I'm getting very nitty picky with my orienteering lately and my performance running wise today was not my best. I was tired from the get go and had no aggression which is a problem for a relay. Little slips here and there and poor route choice to 5. Happy our team was consistent and all had alright runs. 3rd place but would have liked to have gotten 2nd

Hmmm was pretty sloppy at the start and made silly mistakes because I wasn't reading attack points well with all the grass.
Even after all my mistakes I didn't give up and kept going and managed to have an ok run in the end. I am able to push a bit more on longs so I had energy to keep going.

My legs felt really achey today and sore. I'm not sure why and it made running difficult.
Over complicated things in places where I exited the control with out looking up and taking in my surroundings.

17x200m with rests decreasing every 5 seconds starting with 90seconds and finishing at 15sec.

Rough! But I was consistent. I got 7 lots of 42 sec in a row. Ended and started with 45

Event at Kuitpo. Did course one and I did ok with my running and focus but I lost time due to exiting wrong and rushing in places. Talked to my juniors before hand about setting goals and talking to a mentor after.

3km time trial at santos. I took Jims advice and took splits every 200m to remain consistent. I did 48-51 sec splits which seemed to work so I didn't have a slow middle section. I felt good although I do have a soreish throat.
