the last one i really pushed it and pretty much collapsed in the middle of the road at the end of it.

smashfest at anzac park with anna kier mat and julia.
heaps good and heaps of hills.
will have to look back on what time i did this a year ago but today was definatly faster.
yep had a look and i did this run in 38mins last year in january

recovery run from the oral surgery place in bardon. I find it funny that the name of the practice is CAOS ( Caroline Acton Oral Surgury)
Any way turns out the cyst that was taken out of my jaw was the size of a 50c piece.. also turns out that it has 100% that it will come back! yah! so that means i have to have xrays and checkups everyyear. also turns out that since it is that kind of cyst i may have to be back in surgery within 2 weeks. but hopefully not.

on the other hand iam very sore and tired after having stressfull orienteering dream number 4 last night...

really didnt feel too good about doing this this morning. my body is pretty sore after a decent weekends training( plus golf). the first 1,2,3 were alot shorter than previous attempts, but i really pushed the last 3,2,1 and ended up 25m farther then two weeks ago :D

also i saw the weirdest thing while having a min rest. a cockatoo landed on a water bubbler, put its foot on the leaver, water came out and it started drinking. it thinks it's people.

the warm up was longer then the warm down this week. purely because im very sore and very tired.
which reminds me, for the past three nights i have woken up stressed after having terrifying orienteering dreams.
i think it must be the aircon doings.

was a base this time unlike on saturday where i was a flyer.
being a base is hard work and my arms are a little bit sore now.. the girl we lifted was a little bit on the heavy side.

im wrecked now, too many hills.
rode up to channel 9 via gap creek road/ the dirt part of moggil road.
then rode all the way down to the bardon turn off. which was the most fun ever! there were no cars at all so i rode in the middle of the road the whole way down. heaps good.
then came out past wendy and lances place and then home.
legs are all jelly now.... mmmm jelly

orienteering race (qld sprint champs) 23:55 [4] 3.4 km (7:02 / km)

qld sprint champs today. was a little bit sore and tired from the ride this morning but pulled off an ok run. had a little trouble on one where i didnt look where i was going. but pulled myself togethor after that.
came 3rd to anna and rachel.

just a note that i did 2 sec slower today then on the sprint champs exactly one year ago today.

couldnt do the longer run today cause i have to go to this stupid health science team building thing at uni.
so went with wendy and pippin, pippin gave up so wendy walked her home.l i ran to the coffee club to see if i could see dad.
nope
so went home

incredibly hot for 6am. good thing this is our last hot day for this summer.. hopefully

tried to ride to bell bird grove.. was getting a bit dark so turned back. got to the 25min mark. 20 on the way back with a detour up brompton road.

so hot this morning that this about killed me. i had to take longer breaks in between each hill and had to sit in the shade at the top of the hill before walking down.
drew up 5 hill legs on the nguluway map and read those while doing the hills.
did this cause im really bad at finding the controls on legs that are on the downslopes of hills.
hills were slower this week becuase of the map reading.

yahh i can run again, not too much pain in my face sooo looks like training is back on my agenda!

parked my car at the end of paten road, and ran to the top of that hill on the back end of bowman park.
took the nguluway map with me and read my course from the aussie champs last year.

hahaha i pulled a cheap trick on my mum this morning, i knew that if i asked her if i could go running by myself at anzac park she would have said no, so instead i asked her if i could running at bellbird grove..(in the middle of no where and up the mountain) or could i go running at anzac park ( next to the freeway with lots of houses)
mum was like oh gosh, you cant go running at bellbird grove, anzac park will be fine.
zing!

so i went running there and took a map to read.

some gradual hill runs after finishing running.

all wiht around 55sec rest in between

rode to the gym to check out how much it would cost to go on their cycling gear for next week.
apparently too much.
anyway turns out...im just a little bit freaked out about tomorrow. i dont wanna look like a chipmunk.

went and did hill runs at killcoleman street after watching the national apology.
while they were a little bit slower then previous times, the were all very consistent and under 40 seconds so thats all good :D

did three loops of the same 2km course around gap creek.

the last one was in reverse.

there was 3min rest inbetween each one.

this was practice for bush running, i think i got way better at it by the end

i hate that section of stillwater, i really do
after spending 16mins trying to find the 2nd control i was just about to sit down and cry, but noo i kept on slogging on, only to make a parrallel error at number 7 and end up at some cliff over looking the town of stillwater wtf!
anyway..... if you ever want to go running in rainforest, thats the place

ohhhh dear, what a interesting middle.
well really it wasnt that bad and some how i ended up placing 2nd out of the bushrangers. but still i lost 6mins and that would have put me 3rdish instead of 19th!
oh but how fun is orienteering!

hahah funnnnny, i did the 1st loop ok and kept up with the pack but then i buggered up the last control on that loop and ran back to the map change over instead of the 11th contorl... that was the point where i lost all hope and decided to go for a jog.hahah. i dont know why i finished i was wrecked for the race the next day.
