I should have made time for a run but at least I got in some physio. And I could actually do wall squats.

The first and final 2k were on road. I confirmed that the new slow, about 8:35/k, is well above the minimal heart rate for cardio workout.

TICK ALERT: I had run up the Goulbourn Forced Road, ran west on the trails across from the closed parking lot, over to the former Second Line and beyond into the high rocks overlooking the Terry Fox extension. In the bath, ten hours after the run, I noticed the tick latch into my lower thigh, right near the tear would have been in my wind pants.

I chose a pace which is the minimum vdot tracked in attackpoint, a pace that was within reach last July for the Boilermaker, 6:35/k. Of course such a pace is no longer possible for any distance since my knee hit a new low last month. Nevertheless, I chose that pace for a test on the track this evening. I ran pace for 100m and jogged rest of lap, felt good. Then I ran 200m, jogged rest of lap. On the third lap, knee gave out in consecutive strides 150m into pace run. The curve may been the issue. Hopefully I find the courage to test again. I did three more laps including attempts at 100m pace runs and then gave up.

If I can build up sone strength, I should be able to race in July. However, there's no way that I can do 15k in two hours. There is no way that I am racing in 2017. I will have to find a surgeon in August. Road racing is over!!!
