Forest-O 1:15:31 [3] 11.0 km (6:52 / km) +90m 6:36 / km

Much needed run-out at Loch Vaa. Great to have a map back in one hand, although got so excited by that I forgot to use the compass in the other. Absolutely appalling nav so lots to work on.

Slightly making up the stats because the watch wasn't loving life.

shoes: Asics GT 1000 8 (heavies)

Midweek long run round Mortonhall up Hillend and Allermuir. Liking this route more and more despite the ringroad crossing.

Tried to take every second 3km a bit harder but turns out kms 9-12 are straight up the hill, so that was a bit grim.

Happy enough with that

20 grind, trying to make a route down to Porty beach but bottled the seat-beach sections in both directions. There might be something in this route but definitely not the way I did it, and anyway the beach is terrible once you get there. Too windy, impossible to even pretend to social distance, and a lethal combination of toddlers and uncontrolled dogs with equal parts spatial inawareness and ankle-biting affinity.

Not again for a while.
