Nationals Cross/Warzone survival - 68th

Starting gun must've released the horizontal sleet from the clouds. Never run anything like that first lap - just brutal. Hung in though, and tried not to lose any ground on the second and third. Group of Edinburgh boys remained out of reach, but happy enough with that for a first effort around Callendar park on a day where 4min/km felt like 3:10s.

Something between brainfreeze, exhaustion and hypothermia means I don't really remember much between finishing and getting back to Holly's car. Good day to have a support team!
