Note
(injured)

Haven't braved a run yet, but I know even walking I can feel the discomfort, so can't be good. Will attempt Jamie Stevenson probably.

8 PM

Running (out of date) intervals 15:09 [5] 3.6 km (4:13 / km)
(injured)

Down and straight into the session with knee niggling a little.
Run harder than usual as feeling fresh and had a pacesetter/breaker with Fred joining in.

In the last 20 metres of the 2nd rep the knee popped out in the way that it felt like it might, and only got 15 seconds into the 3rd rep before needing to stop. So frustrating because I could feel it coming but so often the things that feel like that are actually fine.

Now just got to hope it's minor and take a few (more) days off. Ughhhh

Running (out of date) 7:20 [2] 1.6 km (4:35 / km)
shoes: Asics GT-1000 5 (heavies)

Braved the new shoes. Gentle down to the meadows
5 PM

Running (out of date) tempo 5:17 [5] 1.61 km (3:17 / km)
shoes: Asics GT-1000 5 (heavies)

Due to recent shoe-related issues, I thought it would be fun to try win some more. Went out for the strava mile on the meadows loop. Hard work with a fair amount of tourist dodging, but didn't really hit the speed I wanted. Still gutting to find out that strava didn't think it was far enough, so I'm going to have to try again but taking silly long corners or something.

Running (out of date) 8:43 [2] 1.8 km (4:51 / km)
shoes: Asics GT-1000 5 (heavies)

Had planned some sort of intervals progression session but knee started to make itself known and a bit short on time, so bailed and home.

Running (out of date) 1:11:52 [1] 11.2 km (6:25 / km) +390m 5:28 / km

Very gentle stuff to ease back into running and spectate the seven hills with Dad. Some standing around, some jogging, some faster stuff so pace is all over the place.

Whole numb mouth is jolted on every step but got used to that fairly quick, more worrying is the creeping knee pain that was barely noticeable until you factor in 4 days of painkillers.

Otherwise lovely day for it and really good to escape the house.
