Felt surprisingly good once I got going and stopped feeling sorry for myself (so about the 3rd rep). Humbling as ever to session 'with' Mass, my god that boy can run, but much appreciated company on what otherwise would've been a very tough solo session.

Slow, but felt like making progress today rather than yesterday, which was a bit of a shock.

As per the formula. Demolished in the first two sets, crawled back to win it from there. Poor Calum still can't handle the sheer pressure. 3-2 is a personal favourite scoreline, by the way

Thought this was going to be a pre-tea run easy jog with Aidan and Paul and to be fair, the pace was pretty easy, but I'm so unfit I was struggling to hold it, which is really embarrassing. Only momentary relief when I remembered squash from this morning - explains a bit of the lethargy, but I've done squash and a 15km session before, this should not be difficult.

Real testament to my unfitness that it took several minutes of sitting down after getting home before the garmin would put my heart rate back under 100. Yikes, the road to recovery seems to keep getting longer.

Clean weekend? No chance.

Relays were a shocker. Let first leg get to my head and was in the lead pack at the third control where a bit of dodgy map and a lot of dodgy nav led to a minute miss. Then totally lost the head and started bleeding time. 30s, minute, 2-minutes, 3-minutes, control after control. Probably 6 or 7 really bad mistakes on a course that shouldn't have been very hard.

Came through spec with Will and beat him home round a straight-running section which was quite nice, but otherwise very few positives. Deary me.

Fred caught me quite early so just choo choo'd it round with him and Spender. All bottled it two mins at one control, and my early lines were all over the place, but got better as the race went on.

Boy am I SLOW.

Never mind, MSR is the best format ever created and this was great fun. Made a couple of dodgy routechoices and one obvious error, probably lost 20-30s on nav and the rest from the legs. Great runs from the rest of the team though, 4th place is a pretty good result.
