Aviemore leg loosener turned into a wee unexpected hill run up craigellelachie with K. Didn’t feel so great on the first steep section, heavy stiff lazy legs, but felt better around the tree line and fully functioning by the moor. Great views from the cairn. Decent was steady to keep ankle intact over the rocky path. Great start to a week in Cairngorms.

Stretching/rolling 15:00 [1]

Day of uni open days and travel - really wanted to get a run in but the car decided to throw a wobbly so 2 hours in Kwick fit meant we got back much later than planned :(

From Gartly through Alford,Lumphanan, torphins then home. Dad kept getting mad we weren’t waiting for him so had to keep it fairly steady. Started to get very cold and bored about 30km in, never really warmed up after that. Thinks it’s time for winter gloves and gear.

Running 52:09 intensity: (11:55 @1) + (32:32 @2) + (7:42 @3) 10.16 km (5:08 / km) +168m 4:44 / km

Steady run out from duff house in a loop back to Macduff. Pacing was all over the place for the first half, running way to fast because it was flat tracks/roads. Got it together for the second half. More tarmac than I thought there would be so required a long stretch session after.

Running 10:02 intensity: (9:49 @1) + (13 @2) 1.27 km (7:53 / km) +30m 7:03 / km

(Only had watch HR so might be inaccurate) Lovely sunny cycle back from banff with kirsty and dad. Kept it steady trying to save myself for the millshore hills at the end! Followed by an icy swim in the sea.
