Orienteering race (NZOC Middle M21A) 1:08:17 [3] *** 5.5 km (12:25 / km) +250m 10:07 / km
spiked:13/19c shoes: Innov8 X-Talon 212s

After such dismal performances in the previous two races I resolved to walk this one today. Walk turned into a jog but the point is that I wasn't out running myself.
Still posted a time near the bottom of the field and made several mistakes so perhaps the lesson here is that my speed control is fine, it's just map reading at any speed that needs work...?

Orienteering (MicrO) 30:00 [3] 3.3 km (9:05 / km)
shoes: Ascics Gel-Pulse 7

Great little event at Rocket Park on a 1:2000 map, very fast and very fun. Would have been a bit better to have had the rules/idea explained before I started but I still had fun.

Orienteering race (NZOC Long M21A) 2:14:32 [4] ***** 15.76 km (8:32 / km) +185m 8:04 / km
ahr:158 max:179 shoes: Innov8 X-Talon 212s

As usual, struggling on Woodhill terrain with several bad legs and generally a demoralizing race. Despite starting slowly I had trouble with #1, then watched nearly the entire field pass me around #4 to #6. This was pretty demoralizing but I did manage to catch a lot of this lost time up later.
