Must have been a time-warp around Buena Vista as the clue sheet said it was 2015. Long night-O, 6.5 km straight line. It was my first chance to use my new headlamp, which worked very well, easily the best headlamp I've ever had. The only thing was that I had it cranked down pretty good that it started to give me a headache towards the end. Ran pretty well. Never could run that fast except one section where I stayed on the road. Detail on the map is always hard to see at night. Going to 3 I missed a form-line spur that sent me off course, but fortunately relocated pretty quickly. To 5 I could see the flat area and there was a lot of slash, so had to go slow. To 6 at the end I was very happy to quickly see the form-line knoll and knew I was too far east. To 13 I ended up a bit east of the control, but I was happy that I easily and correctly determined I needed to go down the re-enterant to find the control. Fun course of the perfect difficulty for a night-O and pretty happy with how I ran.

Trail Run24:00 [4] 4.07 mi (5:54 / mi) ahr:175 max:185
Running club, 4x6min with 1 min rest, so pretty hard workout. I didn't sleep well so I wasn't feeling the best, and it was pretty hot, which also drained me. Managed to put together a pretty good workout, though the paces were a touch on the slow side. Paces were 6:00, 5:55, 5:55, 5:49.
Back from dropping car off for repair. When I was doing some laps in Greeley West Park to lengthen the run, a women asked me if I did the Bolder Boulder, nope, she said I would some day. I wouldn't be so sure, but maybe...
Right calf got tight.
