Classic Ski 3:19:00 [1] 23.33 mi (8:32 / mi)

The day of truth for the heel. Used the 9.1 classic boot on the right with two heel cups (used the S-labs on the left). Heel made it through the entire ski with no major discomfort or pain. Towards the end, certain herring-bone motions made me notice it a bit more, but overall, heel was not much worse than skating. I think the two heel cups and the 9.1 boots is key. Probably 3" fresh overnight at Frisco Peninsula, so skiing was quite nice if not a bit slow. Weather ranged from sunny mid-20s to overcast and snowing to snow squalls (of course I was on the exposed peninsula top when it hit) that filled in all the tracks. It was such a long ski that I obviously saw a lot. Here's the short list: snowshoe hare, 3 "dude" snow bikers on the ski trail f-ing up the tracks (I yelled at them, I know at least a couple others did as well), mustachio man (sadly he didn't do the O yesterday), a piston bully suck in the snow (the driver was just lying across the seat with his legs up).
