Bobcat ridge, windy. Upper Valley loop trail to Dr trail to Mohoney Pk, then back down the Ginny trail. Over 9.5 miles, over 1300' elevation difference between bottom and top.

In the past I questioned whether Mt. Lions were in the foothills, I probably believed that they weren't such that I could consider running at dusk "safe." At Bobcat ridge there are a set of nature cameras (too bad they don't post the humans walking by; http://www.fcgov.com/naturalareas/wildlife-camera....) and one of them captured this:

This is decidedly something that would tear your face off. Its creepy for two reasons, I ran that trail today, and apparently the big cats of this area have death-ray eyes. Oh, the photo set shows bears and tons of smaller cats, on top of the usual (turkeys, deer, elk, coyote).
