Decided to have Friday off as was tired on Thurs. Felt much better today, had the aim of keeping pace below 7min/mile. Ran 50:50 on tarmac and trails around the Mersey. Pace felt pretty hard, but was easily sustainable. Pleased with session. Had 25 min Sauna afterwards

Felt tired today, legs felt heavy. Ran on grass field while George was at DofE meeting. Just ran very easy, started to feel better after a mile. Ran 6 strides at the end which started to freshen my legs up a bit. Glad I turned the legs for a bit.

Ran to club, 2 sets of drills, then about 3 miles on grass, then home. Surprisingly legs felt ok, great to turn the legs over

Breakfast, gel every 30mins.
Aimed for 4 laps, 9.4miles each in length
Energy levels felt ok, but lost the mental game during the final lap. Decided to finish a bit early as my car was round the corner! and it started to get tough.
I ran well, ran slightly slower than normal, aimed for about 7.35 min/mile pace, felt very comfortable.

Had 8 mile hike with Heather around Malham Tarn earlier in the day which helped my tight glute. It was a amazing day, really enjoyed it.

Fitted in easy run in the evening, did 2 sets of drills, about 40mins easy running, strides at the end. Glute felt fine, hopefully be set up for 5hr long run on Tues.
