A pretty decent run overall. First silly mistake was getting my direction wrong out of #6. Took a bit of time to make sense of the map but was still OK to 7, although I dropped a bit low. 12 seemed to take forever, just had to keep pushing. Was a bit low into 17,and then overshot 19. This was a warning as I then stuffed up #20 royally - brain had stopped working.
Tough but enjoyable.

Disastrous #3, messed up my whole race, losing 11mins!!!! Crossed an unmarked ride parallel to a road. I hadn't been paying attention to distance so was well short of the road. After aimlessly running around for a while, I realised I needed to go much further.
Other than it was pretty decent.
Between 19 & 20 I went over the top and didn't push far enough across so got stuck in some boulders and bracken. This dissuaded me from taking the straight route from 20-21. Both errors costing about 1min.
Would help to be more running fit.

Best O race from me in quite some time. Managed to take each leg in isolation and made decent plans (mostly). That went a bit pear-shaped to #10. Stopped at the water point for a quick drink & got my angle wrong leaving. Overshot the control and ended up at one semi-clearing beyond. Had to double back to find the control (60s). The lost focus going to #11 staying in the forest and not running hard enough (60s). Pretty decent to #12 which felt a bit low to me.
Something also not quite right with the clearings on the way to #1. Went through the bottom of the first clearing as was surprised by how far to the right I had to turn to get to the clearing with the control.
Otherwise good speed and a nice mixture of fast running in the first 2/3rds of the course followed by some more technical focus in the rocks on the way to the finish

Pretty mixed bag. Horrible start with my compass bearing taking me too far to the right. Had to hop along features till I located the control. Decent route to 2, but messed up in the circle. Still hadn't gotten into the map properly. 3 & 4 were decent. Struggled to find the little re-entrant for 5, but it came in handy as an attackpoint for 10. 6-11 were all pretty decent. For some reason I then switched off and completed messed up 12 and 13. Pretty straight forward run in to the finish.
Really good technical area reminiscent of the Rockery in Kaapsehoop.
My map printing was not of great quality which made it difficult to read in places - all the back lines for cliffs were too thin & a few bushes were difficult to ready.
