Another really nice map by Nico :-) Had a decent run. Still not feeling 100%. Focussed on trying to properly and get flow. First 4 controls went smoothly. First problem at 5. I was standing above the entrant but didn't look down to see it. Lost about 10 sec - didn't read the circle properly, which is really silly given the long run across the cricket field. Also hesitated into 6. Not bad after that until the river crossing after 16. Should have had barier tape from further out leading to the crossing. Also didn't hit the next river crossing smoothly although I was hitting the controls well and generally planning well.

Went round the novice course with the boys. Connor is starting to be able to follow his position on the map as he goes. Cams is still too keen to just go and look for the first control he sees. If I make him go from decision point to decision point then he does well.

Finished the survey for the 1:5000 map of Bushtrails - the flat portion. To be used in the Schools training camp in two weekends time. Using the 1:10000 map as the base map had its pros and cons. Many things at 1:5000 were completely out of alinement. Decided to use ISSOM symbol set. Should look quite good.

Easy run at work. HR still seems a bit high & have to take it really easy to keep below 150BPM. Nice to be out in the sun.

Still trying to recover fully from bronchitis. Chest is not 100%, so decided to take an easy run. Nothing hard, just making sure all the muscles have recovered from the weekend. Quads were really sore after Sunday - probably due to not running for a while and hard ground underfoot.
