Sprint Quali simulation. Made a very good route choice on the long leg. Seemed to be running well - a lot better than other sprint races recently.

Sprint final. Running well again, mostly good route choices again and able to make decisions not being affected by other people around (started in reverse order, therefore there was a lot of people around near the middle of the course). One bad route choice

Jog to Ormeau park from the hostel, then a run around the park run. Aim was to do the park run at PB pace with a quiz Anton had provided and complete the quiz by the end - trying to emulate having to think and make decisions while racing. Was a fun thing to do, although with storm Denis and a few other factors I didn't race the park run at all (ran about 26 mins). Just had an enjoyable time completing a quiz while running

Knock out sprint simulation. 3 courses mass start with runners choice in each. Super good fun and cool to be head to head with people like that.

Thursday long run
30 mins by myself, then very appreciatively joined by Matthew on his bike. First bit I wasn't really in the mood for a long run, but felt a lot better once matt joined. Took me on some nice bits of Marley Park. Feeling pretty good for it actually

UCD Athletics
WU, Drills, 15mins, 3x4mins[90s], 4x20s hills, WD
Was soooo cold. Started off with many layers on and was toasty, but look the largest one off for the beginning of the 15. That was fine and I was still hot, so I took off my jacket in the middle of the 15. Well that was a big mistake and I never warmed up again. Was also superrrr windy headwind on the back straight meant going was pretty slow. Also got a stitch in the middle of the 15. So yeah, altogether was a really great session

Pretty easy 60 mins in some very cold weather.
I started off and it was snowing/freezing raining horizontally into my face and it was so cold and horrible, so I cut the first bit short so that I could run with my back to the wind as soon as possible. As soon as I got into the woods with my back against the wind it was a lot better, then on the way back the rain had stopped. Did a few loops at the end to make up for the bits I cut short at the beginning. Appreciated a very warm shower when I got back
