Didn't head to athletics tonight as I'm feeling a bit ill so thought a hard session wouldn't do me good.
So really easy extended lap of campus with Roisin on her bike. Slower than I ideally wanted due to Roisin's inability to ride a bike (I had to hold her up every time she got on...) but good to be out with her anyway

Felt pretty slow. Been a bit of a busy week therefore haven't really had time to do much running, therefore I haven't really done enough sessions to merit 2 interval sessions. Gonna be in Cavan all weekend trampolining, therefore probably won't make it out running, therefore will hopefully get back to normal next week

No hill run for me last night because I was going out instead. Todays been a bit grim, but had 2 hours of trampolining this evening, so although I didn't run, it wasn't a complete right-off

Felt alright going into this. First 10 minutes running completely alone but managed to keep a decent pace anyway. As soon as the 10 was over though, my stomach suddenly got really sore. Took the hills a bit easier (i.e. not full sprint), stomach still sore. It kinda settled down for the final 10, so managed that nicely. Slow warm-down, then really good stretches just getting full-on abuse from Niall, Fionn and Emmett...

Leinster League Event - Glenreemore Valley
Open moorland, horizontal rain, boulder city. Felt pretty strong once I got going (although a bit slow to begin with). Caught Roisin, and caught by Caoimhe at ~4, so good to have them to keep my motivation up round the rest. Navigationally probably one of the worst races I've done recently. Just found it really hard to keep my direction and had trouble deciding which of the many boulders was the one I was looking for.... Relocated quite well each time anyway. Good to be out

Needed to do something to stop me from sleeping all day. Unfortunately went at 5:50 without realising the pool closed at 6, but nice to have even a small stretch out anyway. But also meant no tepidarium :((

Really windy made the long back straight pretty grim. Also legs felt so very very weak and sore and useless from last nights gym, therefore called it a day after the first 3 intervals and did a few laps at a slow jog.
Didn't appreciate it still being dark on the way to this...

Really chilled with the head torches on a super clear night. Meant fab views of over the lights of the city from the top. Really nice run

Feeling really sick on the warm up but settled down a bit. On the tempo just got into a nice rhythm and stuck with it. Not that fast but not that slow either. Probably good after 2 hard ones of these last week. Hill sprints I found really tough, and chest tightened badly towards the end. Really slow warm-down followed by lots of good stretches chatting to the coach

Really happy with my effort in the tempo - got into a nice rythmn and just got it done. Picked up the pace in the last 3 minutes and felt good doing this, so maybe could have gone faster earlier, but recon this was a good base for the start of training.
Hill sprints just about killed me. So fast!(with the fast boys...)
Only managed to do a limited cool down (not the 15mins with the group) because I was already late for something, so just jogged straight back to my flat

Got bored of being ill, so went for a hill run with Eadaoin, Clodagh, Meabh, Aoife and Roisin. Nice to be out, but hellish windy at the top, cleared up enough to see the promised views of the city though.
